Spirit Lake once a tiny lake until the eruption of Mt. St. Helens. Filled to almost the entire valley bottom. Those little "twigs" in the water are trees, ones destroyed and blown through the valley during the eruption. Tens of thousands of trees scattered throughout the lake.
